[Site Visit Report]  The 4th Asia Pacific Aviation Safety Summit (AP-SAS 2026) Technical Tour at OSAKAKO Vertiport

Asian Aviation Experts View SkyDrive's Aircraft and Operations Showcase

From Tuesday, August 4 to Thursday, August 6, 2026, the “4th Asia Pacific Aviation Safety Summit (AP-SAS 2026) (*1) “—co-hosted by the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), and the Flight Safety Foundation (FSF)—was held in Osaka.

Through panel discussions and other sessions, this summit functions as a collaborative platform where a diverse range of global stakeholders—predominantly from the Asia-Pacific region, including airlines, aviation authorities, and international organizations—gather to address and discuss critical aviation safety challenges within the region.

On the morning of Thursday, August 6, a panel discussion session was held during the summit. SkyDrive’s Board Director, Chairman, and Chief Safety Officer, Nobuo Kishi, took the stage to discuss the smooth integration of next-generation air mobility into existing airspace with aviation authorities from Japan, Australia, and other representatives. In the afternoon, the “Technical Tour (Site Visit)” took place at OSAKAKO Vertiport, drawing approximately 80 attendees. Participants included Mr. Toshiyuki Onuma (*2), President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), alongside aviation authorities and global leaders primarily from the Asia-Pacific region.

■ Site Visit Overview

During this site visit, we presented the specific operations, aircraft, and facilities of various companies working toward the social implementation of eVTOL aircraft technology. This allowed attendees to witness firsthand the leading-edge initiatives driving the future of eVTOL aircraft in Japan.

Showcasing our aircraft and outlining our operational processes at a functional vertiport (take-off and landing node), before aviation authorities and international leaders from the Asia-Pacific region and elsewhere, represents a critical milestone toward shaping future global safety criteria and unifying regulatory frameworks.

To advance the deployment of safe, practical eVTOL aircraft and build robust air mobility networks, SkyDrive remains dedicated to partnering closely with global aviation regulators, such as the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), alongside our network of local and international partners.
