The Public-Private Committee for Advanced Air Mobility Revises the “Advanced Air Mobility Roadmap”

On Friday, March 27, 2026, the 12th Public-Private Committee for Advanced Air Mobility was held, and SkyDrive participated as a committee member.
During the meeting, a review of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and the revisions to the “Advanced Air Mobility Roadmap”  were announced.

■Key Revisions to the “Advanced Air Mobility Roadmap”

  • Late 2020s: Clarified Timeline for Domestic Commercial Operations

    • Start shifting to commercial operations in select regions from 2027 to 2028.

  • Early 2030s: Introduction of Advanced Traffic Management and Passenger Transport Without a Pilot on Board

    • Regulatory development for traffic management (e.g., AAM corridors) to support scaled operations. 

    • Regulatory development for businesses to enable passenger transport without a pilot on board.

    • Technology development of traffic management systems conducted with public-private cooperation to support high-density AAM traffic.

  • Late 2030s: Partial Realization of Autonomous Operations

    • Regulatory development and technology development conducted with public-private cooperation to achieve autonomous operations.

  • 2040s and Beyond:

    • Realizing a society to provide new value, free air mobility in everyday life and resolve social issues.
